Invictus Paddling Club - Dragon Boat, SUP Racing, and Environmental Community Team
Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful

Invictus is incredibly honored and proud to be partnered with such a great organization.  Since 1989, KTBB has provided the bay-area residents of all ages with opportunities for meaningful service. Tampa Bay Beautification (founded in 1989) and Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful (founded in 1992) merged in 2012 to form Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful. Building on the success of these two non-profits, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful continues to have a huge impact in our community. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is the local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s largest volunteer-based community.

Annual Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup
Annual Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup
Every Year KTBB hosts the annual Hillsborough River and Coastal Clean-Up. The Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup is not your typical litter removal event. As part of this effort, volunteers collect data to identify the number and type of littered items, the overall tonnage removed from each site and the amount of recyclable materials diverted. This information is used to determine future needs, projects in the area and to create an awareness of these needs within the community. As part of the International Coastal Cleanup, data is shared with the Ocean Conservancy, Keep America Beautiful, as well as local officials to help provide a local and global perspective. Last year we removed well over 60,500 pounds of litter and debris from over 75 locations throughout Hillsborough County. We had over 4,000 volunteers participate in the cleanup along the Hillsborough River, Alafia River and other waterways.

In 2014, the team was awarded for outstanding service in enivromental projects. The team assisted in the Hillsborough River & Coastal Clean-Up, Shoreline Clean-Up of the KTBB Home Office along the Hillsborough River, and adopted a 1 Mile Stretch of the Hillsborough River.

Through quarterly training sessions, our carefully selected Ambassadors become model spokespeople for our organization.
